Take On Me
Another Friday, another week of work that’s gone by. I don’t have anything particular to post about, but I felt with it being Friday and me being the only one in the office for the rest of the day, I should take advantage of it by blogging. This is just going to be the usual post with various links and amusing pictures, so don’t expect too much.
At the Online News Association conference in Toronto, two U.S. university researchers
presented “heat maps” showing which parts of a Web page readers focus on, based on experiments that use an eye-tracking camera in the base of a computer monitor.
O rly? O.o
But wait! It gets better (or worse)!
The revelation that the wandering eyes belonged to the males was embarrassing enough for the men in the audience, but researchers Laura Ruel and Nora Paul had a further humiliation in store. They got the same results when they repeated the experiment with pictures on the American Kennel Club site.
I don’t even know what that means.
Y’know, I think you fell asleep watching a DVD. No, seriously. Anyone notice the lighter and the spoon on the table? I see why you fell asleep now.
Wait for the lyrics.
So I was perusing the failblog website when I ran across this gem!
I don’t understand why this is a fail? I mean, it’s friggin’ awesome! The “bloody” handprints just rounds it out to be the perfect vanity plate.
And yet, another YouTube video! I’m not even sure how I came across this one but I’m glad I did. Watch out for her signature move!
The girl’s name is Kazumi and, from what I can gather from the video, she does a type dance called animation dance in Japan. Or something. My Japanese sucks. I don’t know a thing about these dance genres. I just know that she is super cute and super flexible. And did you catch her signature move? It’s kind of creepy.
Japanese TV though – crazy, ain’t it? Everyone’s always “whooaaaaa!” and “eeeeeehhh?”. (Wait, does that period belong there?) They’re all so enthusiastic and surprised by everything. Is it just for show or is it a cultural thing? I’m not sure, but I do enjoy watching it on occasion.
Whoa, after perusing around a bit on YouTube I found this video. Looks the attire she was wearing was from a commercial for milk. In the video they talk about whether or not the commercial was CG (computer graphics). Of course, it’s all the real deal. It sure looks unnatural the way she moves (she moves, oh, baybe). Or Supernatural!
Oh, crap! More YouTube videos! Lesson? Drink your milk to be like Neo!
Okay, focus! No more YouTube until I finish this, or else I’m just going to end up linking a whole slew of videos!
So I sort of have an idea on how to get myself and possibly others to start posting videos. Not necessarily vlogs but videos and responses. They’d be relatively short and wouldn’t really require any editing. Well, it’s not so much my idea but just something I saw people doing on YouTube. I might start it. I might not. Yeah, I’m pretty lazy so don’t get your hopes up.
Man, I cannot wait to get home so I can continue playing Dead Space. I am really enjoying the game. I’d recommend it to everyone out there. It’s a third-person sci-fi action-thriller game. I’ll probably be playing through a second time right after I beat (for achievements!).
Disclaimer: If you end up buying it on my recommendation but end up hating it, TS! Not my fault!
It’s Aloha Friday, no work ’til Monday! Have a good weekend, folks. Do whatever it is you kids do on the weekends.

Is this what you do at work??? Thumbs up on the Take on Me literal video. Scared shriek for that dancing lady. She should be in a scary movie.
